Fly in for Surgery

At the offices of James Casimir Pietraszek, M.D., F.A.C.S. we offer multiple options to assist you with your surgical needs. Dr. Pietraszek has a beautifully appointed office and accredited surgical suite. The La Jolla Institute of Plastic Surgery surgical suite is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). This accreditation certifies that the facility meets nationally recognized standards governed by the medical professional experts who set and evaluate the standards. Our office is located 20 minutes from the San Diego International Airport and minutes from the many San Diego attractions such as wonderful beaches, The San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and a thriving downtown area.
Getting Started
Step One: Email one of our patient coordinators ljipls@plasticsurgerylajolla.com with your procedure of interest and any questions or concerns you may have. It is always best to have a consultation in person with Dr. Pietraszek well in advance of your surgery. If this is not possible we ask that you send in photos (like the one’s on our website) of the area that you are interested in improving upon. Please send them to our patient coordinators for Dr. Pietraszek’s review. We will then send you a tentative surgical plan and rough estimate based on Dr. Pietraszek’s recommendations.
Step Two: Decide on your time frame for surgery and book a date in Dr. Pietraszek’s surgical schedule. We ideally like to do the pre-operative appointment two weeks prior to your surgery and if this is not possible we may be able to arrange this appointment a day or two before your surgery. Dr. Pietraszek recommends out of town patients to plan on being in town for two weeks and maybe longer for tummytucks and facelifts post surgically. We would send to you in advance of your surgery all the necessary medical forms and lab work required to have surgery here. We require a non-refundable deposit to hold a date in Dr. Pietraszek’s schedule and the balance is due two weeks prior to your surgery.
Step Three: If you do not have family or friends that live in the area, our patient coordinators will help assist you with lodging recommendations, private nursing care or extended-stay facilities in and around La Jolla and San Diego. (You must have a responsible adult with you at all times if you are planning on staying at a hotel).
